This might not seem like it, but before you are actually paperweights made of glass. Their creator is the American glassblower from New Jersey, Paul Stankard.
Few people know, but Paul Stankard is one of the pioneers of this kind of art. While fighting with dyslexia, it was a difficult task for Paul to find his vocation. During college, he met a glassblower and got so interested in this occupation that he tried it himself. For over ten years he worked on a factory, then started working on his own in his garage. Over time, Paul Stankard got recognition and demand for his work. Now his paperweight works are exposed in more than sixty museums around the world.
