This unusual market, placed right next to the railroad tracks, is
located in Samut Songkhram, in the heart of Thailand. Extreme sellers
and buyers; that’s interesting.
At first glance, this market is no different from any other in the country.
Here you can buy any kind of fruit and vegetables, cooked food, seafood, spices and many more.
Buyers leisurely stroll from seller to seller, and sellers are trying to attract attention to their products.
It lasts so until you hear the alarm
In one moment, the buyers vanish and sellers shift their tents and remove their goods from the railway.
This market existed here long before the construction of the railway (opened in 1905).
Thai call this market Talad Rom Hoop, which can be literally translated
to “Market Umbrella Pull-down.” You’ll understand why it’s called that
way if you’ll watch the video at the end of the post.
